Saturday, May 9 – Smokin’ Hot BBQ Fest 2015

The Williamsburg Kiwanis BBQ Fest is the springtime family-fun event. This great gathering of community, entertainment and fun is filled with yummy food, cold beer, and good friends. This year, it will be held on May 9, 2015, 3-7pm (Rain or Shine) at the Walsingham Academy. Cost will be $25 admission and will include raffle prizes, all-you-can-eat BBQ by Whiskey Hill Barbeque, 2 drink tickets, and entertainment by Herbie D and the Dangermen!

Williamsburg loves all-you-can-eat charity fundraisers! All the proceeds go to the future of fundraisers and great local charities. This year the recipients are Bacon Street, Jamestown 4-H Educational Center and Erase the Need.

The door prizes and raffles are always a lot of fun, at these kind of events. There are always a long list of generous donors – with gift cards, gift baskets, etc. But, this year, the Smokin’ Hot BBQ Raffle list has added catering events and a cruise!

Raffle prizes:

Williamsburg Kiwanis four annual fundraisers:

  • Shamrock the Burg
  • Kiwanis Club Spring Concert at the Kimball Theater
  • Smokin’ Hot BBQ
  • Kiwanis Shrimp Fest

The Kiwanis Smokin’ Hot BBQ will be held at the Walsingham Academy, on Jamestown Road, in Williamsburg. There will be Corn Hole, live music, and lots of raffles. Ice Cold Beer (Legend Lager and Bud Light) or soft drinks will be part of the ticket – and wine from the Williamsburg Winery will be available for purchase. As usual, there will be games and entertainment for the children. Children’s tickets are $8 for 3-12 and under 3 get in free.

Enjoy the Smokin' Hot BBQ festival

At the Smokin’ Hot BBQ, expect the best old country, pit-smoked taste of Whisky Hill Barbecue as well as hot dogs, beans, cole slaw and all the trimmings. Of course they’ll be soft drinks, beer, and Williamsburg Winery wines. Free Parking. I am a proud member of the Williamsburg Kiwanis (and we have over 170 members)! I am proud to be part of one of the largest clubs in the Capital District because we are so active and do so much. Service is at the heart of our Kiwanis club, in Williamsburg. But, when you can combine service and a fun afternoon – everyone is ALL IN. Won’t you join us, this year?
